About Jeanette Lasek

Combining more than 25 years of Pilates instruction, with qualifications in clinical Pilates, nutrition studies and fitness, Jeanette offers a vast knowledge and work experience that sets her apart from others in her field.

​

With a strong background in exercise, human movement, professional dance and specialized tertiary studies, Jeanette has ventured into developing unique movement and rehabilitation classes and programs specialising in back pain, neurological conditions, pelvic floor maintenance, biomechanics and over 50s wellness. Her life's work has involved experience across a range of facilities and with people from all walks of life, including Olympic and state level athletes, Miss World finalists, and national competition level Irish dancers.

​

Her professional career has included work in major teaching hospitals, with pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, exercise physiology in gyms and private practice, and group fitness and personal training. These achievements led to the award of Instructor of the Year. Further involvement in PDHPE school fitness programs, nursing homes, corporate fitness and wellness programs, pre- and post-natal work, and travel fitness and wellness complete her impressive resume.

Enduring results speak louder than words, and some of her clients are a testament to this, having been with her since 2007. Jeanette’s warm and inviting approach shines through in her commitment to creating a supportive environment for her online and in-person clients at We Live and Move Pilates.

Our Equipment

In addition to chair Pilates, mat and studio work, we have several pieces of unique equipment designed to enhance your strength, posture and flexibility. Perfect for beginners through to more advanced clients.

  • Reformer: a versatile piece of equipment for resistance training that works deep muscle groups.

​

  • Wunda Chair: targets muscle groups that other exercises often miss, with excellent results in improved coordination and balance.

​

  • Spine Corrector: promotes proper alignment and support of the spine, improving both core strength and posture.

​

  • Juvo Board: ensures proper form and support, assisting with beginner pilates movements as well as balance and engaging the core.

Our Classes

One-on-one classes: Enjoy a one-on-one Pilates session tailored to your goals, including reformer and rehab support. Jeanette guides you through gentle movement that strengthens the body and restores the mind.

 

Zoom sessions: Personalised Pilates sessions online, designed just for you. Train from the comfort of home with expert guidance in a supportive, private setting - no matter your location!

 

Group classes: Join our small group Pilates classes using mats and small equipment. Enjoy a fun, dynamic workout that builds strength, balance, and connection.

​

Our group classes currently take place in Sydney's northern Hornsby Shire area, Monday to Thursday, 10AM to 4PM, Friday 10AM to 1PM, and Sunday by appointment.

  •  Short instructive videos for between-session maintenance are available as an add-on to your lesson.

 

  • Two Pilates sessions are recommended per week to reap the full benefits of this wonderful modality.
